Job summary

Greenville Area Transit seeks a comprehensive Safety, Training and Compliance Manager to oversee all safety, training, and compliance activities. You will develop and deliver operator training, administer the Agency Safety Plan, and conduct inspections and investigations while supporting operator recruitment and CDL training.

Responsibilities include PTASP/FTA safety processes, hazard identification, monthly safety meetings, and DOT drug/alcohol compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and three years of related experience.
• Or an Associate’s degree in a related field and seven years of related experience.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local transit regulations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver operator training for all operators and dispatch staff.
• Administer the Agency Safety Plan and PTASP/FTA safety processes.
• Lead hazard identification, safety monitoring, and safety communications.
• Conduct inspections of facilities, vehicles, and bus stops and lead investigations.
• Coordinate DOT/FTA drug and alcohol compliance, testing, and reporting.
