Job summary

The City of Greenville seeks a seasoned safety and training leader to manage Public Works safety programs, inspections, and incident investigations. You will develop training plans, ensure regulatory compliance, and lead a team to foster a strong safety culture across operations.

Responsibilities include CDL training oversight, third-party testing coordination, and ongoing policy updates to meet OSHA and FMCSA requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in occupational safety, safety engineering, industrial hygiene, environmental health, risk management, or related field.
• Over four years of progressively responsible experience in workplace safety, safety inspection, safety training, compliance, or related field.
• OSHA 30-Hour certification within one year of hire.
• SCDMV Third-Party Tester/Examiner certification within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Manage development and delivery of comprehensive safety and training programs for Public Works.
• Administer safety compliance, inspections, and risk mitigation programs.
• Conduct accident/incident investigations and safety performance analysis.
• Supervise assigned staff and ensure timely completion of inspections, training, and investigations.
• Manage CDL training and Third-Party Testing program.
