Job summary

Transit is seeking a skilled professional to monitor and analyze safety data to identify risks and support informed decision-making across transit operations. This role collaborates with internal teams, law enforcement, and vendors to manage security systems and respond to incidents.

The position involves developing policies, coordinating projects, training staff, and producing reports to inform management and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 5 years of security operations experience in public transportation.
  • Experience analyzing crime and safety data to identify trends and risks.
  • Experience coordinating with law enforcement and vendors on security tech.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor, collect, and analyze crime and safety data to identify trends.
  • Review CAD, telecommunication, and radio data for real-time awareness.
  • Coordinate with departments, law enforcement, and vendors on security systems.
  • Assist in developing goals, policies, and service delivery standards.
  • Oversee daily operations of the Safety and Security Division.
  • Provide training on maps and interpret geographic data for incidents.
  • Review reports to ensure regulatory compliance and data accuracy.
  • Prepare reports and summaries on program outcomes and performance.
  • Serve as liaison for the division with other city departments and agencies.
  • Attend boards/committees and stay updated on transit safety.
