Job summary

Fort Bend County is seeking a Reservationist to schedule passenger trips and provide excellent customer service using an automated system. You will respond to inquiries and coordinate with the Operations Supervisor to resolve issues, while maintaining accurate passenger data.

Requirements include a High School Diploma/GED and 3 years of related experience; strong computer, math, and communication skills are essential, with knowledge of local roads and transit routes.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3 years of related experience; transportation scheduling/reservations preferred.
• Strong computer, verbal and written communication, math and accounting skills; supervisory abilities.

Responsibilities

• Reserves passenger trips within Fort Bend County requirements using an automated scheduling system.
• Responds to phone inquiries, questions or complaints regarding transit services.
• Acts as liaison between clients and Operations Supervisor in resolving customer service issues.
• Inputs changes and/or cancellations into database; updates passenger information as needed.
• Extensive knowledge of Fort Bend County roads and METRO routes; supports emergency management duties.
