Job summary

Ark-Tex Council of Governments (ATCOG) is seeking a part-time Reservationist in Texarkana, Texas. The role handles transportation requests by phone and assigns pickups to schedules, dispatching TRAX vehicles.

You will support Rural Public Transportation operations and collaborate with drivers on repairs, scheduling, and time-off matters. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma (or equivalent) and two years dispatching experience; bilingual is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with two years dispatching experience.
• Knowledge of transit operations and roads within the region.
• Proficiency in Windows software including Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Receive transportation requests via telephone and document them accurately.
• Assign client pick-ups to schedules and dispatch TRAX vehicles.
• Assist day-to-day operations of Rural Public Transportation services.
• Coordinate with drivers on vehicle repair, scheduling, and time off; review drivers' paperwork.
