Job description

The Ark-Tex Council of Governments (ATCOG) is now accepting applications for an as-needed TRAX Operator in Lamar County. This position is as needed, filling in when drivers are absent. The operator is responsible for providing transportation services to individuals, including persons with disabilities, in a safe and timely manner; and operating and maintaining the TRAX vehicles.

• Operating and maintaining the TRAX vehicles.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Pass a Federal Transit Administration (FTA) approved drug test and criminal records check.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Knowledge of vehicle operations.
• Proficiency in vehicle operation.
• Verbal and people skills; able to think through situations and deal with problems constructively; able to deal with stress.
• Self-motivated with a clean driving record.
• Ability to see, hear, reach, stoop, bend, and lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
• Ability to perform essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.

Salary: $12.25 per hour.
