Job summary

GFT is seeking a Construction Manager to join our Construction Services team in the Concord area. You will oversee construction management and inspection services across a range of projects, ensuring on-time delivery, within budget, while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Construction Manager and/or Resident Engineer on transit, rail and highways.
• 10+ years of experience in the field.
• CCM certification preferred.
• Experience with Primavera P6 preferred.
• 10-hour OSHA Safety course preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Must possess a driver’s license to fulfill the essential functions of the position.

Responsibilities

• Conducts and documents project meetings with clients.
• Manages construction field personnel, including teaming partners.
• Negotiates and approves construction change orders.
• Responds to RFIs.
• Prepares proposals and presentations.
• Prepares and monitors project schedules and budgets.
• Prepares and issues reports and correspondence.
• Approves quantities for measurement and payment purposes.
• Approves construction payment applications.
• Resolves technical issues.
• Performs constructability reviews and value engineering studies.
• Leads Risk Management assessments.
• Prepares and monitors Quality Control and Assurance Plans.
• Develops Standard Operating Procedures.
