GFT in Houston, TX is seeking a Railroad Construction Manager II to join our Construction Services group. You will oversee railroad construction projects, ensuring adherence to plans, safety, and quality standards, and travel up to 90%.

The role demands 10+ years of construction experience, a high school diploma, and proficiency with MS Office; candidates with a Civil Engineering or Construction Management degree are preferred. Hybrid work is available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 10+ years of general construction experience.
• Ability to travel 90% of the time.
• Valid driver's license; background check and drug screening required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and oversee construction work for compliance with plans and specs.
• Coordinate between construction stakeholders and manage cost tracking.
• Visit project sites to inspect field work and prepare technical reports.
• Provide observation of contractor operations and maintain daily logs.
• Ensure safety practices and quality standards are followed.
