Job summary

GFT in Chicago, IL is seeking a Transit & Rail Project Manager to join our Transit & Rail Project Delivery Team. This hybrid role requires regular attendance at our Chicago office.

You will lead design teams, manage plans, specifications, and cost estimates for major T&R projects, coordinate across disciplines, and build client relationships. PE licensed candidates with 10+ years of experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (civil or structural preferred).
• Registered Professional Engineer (PE) required.
• 10+ years progressive experience on major infrastructure projects with significant T&R focus in the Greater Chicago Area preferred.
• Project Management experience with profitably managing major T&R design projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead design teams and manage client/design-team relationships for T&R projects.
• Prepare plans, specifications, and construction cost estimates.
• Plan, organize, and supervise project teams to ensure contract performance.
• Manage scope, cost, and schedule controls for major projects across disciplines.
• Develop and maintain client relationships and lead meetings with stakeholders.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (civil or structural preferred)
