Job summary

City of Austin is seeking a full-time Project Coordinator to lead coordination for high-profile transit projects as part of Project Connect. The role serves as the primary liaison between Austin Project Connect and Austin Water, enabling seamless coordination across departments and partner agencies involved in light rail, rapid bus, and related transportation initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with related field and at least three years of experience in construction, engineering, architecture, or related work.
• Experience may substitute education up to four years.

Responsibilities

• Communicates project and/or program information to internal and external customers.
• Assists in the development and monitoring of project budgets, including processing pay apps or updating budgets.
• Assists in developing short- and long-range plans for routine projects with well-known methods.
• Participates in implementing operating policies and procedures as part of a process-improvement team.
• Ensures compliance with City and regulatory requirements by identifying permits and approvals.
• Coordinates development/reviews of contracts and developer agreements; reviews and processes change orders as appropriate.
• Coordinates and evaluates plans, criteria, and schedules for various projects and programs.
• Assists in resolving conflicts by providing supporting documentation and procedures.
• Develops and maintains City of Austin design and construction standards; provides technical advice.
