Job summary

HOK's Boston office is seeking a Project Architect to join the Transportation practice, responsible for delivering high-quality construction documents and coordinating disciplines. The role requires licensure and leadership in design execution across transit infrastructure projects.

You will supervise staff, ensure design intent, and coordinate with engineers, consultants, and clients. A strong emphasis on sustainable design and collaborative teamwork is expected in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture or equivalent in education or experience required. Master’s degree preferred.
• Licensed Architect with current registration, NCARB preferred.
• Prior experience in large-scale transportation or infrastructure projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Advocates for and upholds the design intent of stations, transit facilities, and urban infrastructure.
• Monitors the design process from conceptual phase through construction administration.
• Sets up project team software parameters and manages BIM standards.
• Supervises preparation of technical drawings by staff and coordinates drawings and specifications.
