Job summary

HOK's New York office is seeking Architects to join our Transportation practice, delivering transit-focused design and construction documentation across major projects in the region. You will work with senior leaders and mentors to translate concept into coordinated drawings and BIM models.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture or equivalent in education or experience.
• 5+ years of experience in an architectural design role.
• Licensed Architect with current registration in your region preferred.
• NCARB registration preferred.
• LEED accreditation or Green Associate preferred.
• A strong interest in transit and urban infrastructure, with a commitment to technical excellence.
• Prior experience in large-scale transportation or infrastructure projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Uphold design intent of stations and transit facilities in construction documents.
• Lead planning work and develop solutions to technical and design detail problems.
• Establish and maintain project budgets and schedules.
• Mentor and direct the work of less experienced staff.
• Prepare client presentations and present design concepts and drawings.
• Ensure QA/QC and BIM standards are followed.
• Support on-site visits, field reviews, and coordination meetings.
• Coordinate with clients, vendors, and other disciplines to incorporate information.
