Job summary

HOK's Philadelphia office is seeking Architects to join our expanding Transportation practice. This role requires independent judgment in evaluating standard techniques and solving design problems, with emphasis on transit infrastructure and urban design.

The team values collaboration, mentorship, and delivering high-quality construction documentation that reflects the design intent. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in architecture, 5+ years of experience, and licensure; NCARB and LEED

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in architecture or equivalent experience required.
• 5+ years of professional experience.
• Licensed Architect with current regional registration; NCARB preferred.
• LEED accreditation or Green Associate preferred.
• Prior large-scale transportation or infrastructure project experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Advocate for and uphold design intent across stations and transit facilities.
• Lead planning and provide solutions to technical/design problems.
• Manage project budget and schedule adherence.
• Supervise preparation of technical drawings and documentation.
• Prepare client presentations and present design concepts.
• Ensure QA/QC and alignment with HOK best practices; incorporate sustainable design.
• Mentor junior staff and participate in professional development.
• Coordinate with Project Leadership Team; manage BIM/3D modeling workflows.
