Job summary

Chesterfield County, VA is seeking a Mobility Program Coordinator to administer a transit program and coordinate transportation services with external agencies and county departments.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in a related field, at least 1 year of transit experience, strong knowledge of public transportation principles, and a valid driver’s license. The role includes budget support, marketing, and comprehensive reporting using Power BI and Mobility Platform.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in logistics, transportation, business or public administration or a related field.
• One year of experience in transit operations or related program; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Knowledge of public transportation management and urban and regional transportation planning principles and theories.
• Current valid driver’s license and good driving record; Virginia DMV point limits apply.
• Pre-employment drug testing, FBI criminal background check, and education/degree verification required.

Responsibilities

• Administer a transit program under general supervision.
• Register and certify residents for programs; process forms and paperwork.
• Prepare financial records and monitor revenues and expenditures.
• Market programs and educate external agencies and customers on services.
• Monitor providers to resolve service concerns; coordinate transportation services.
• Develop and monitor program performance and budgets; analyze data for reports.
