Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; 1 year experience operating passenger buses and vans.
• Valid Texas Class A or B CDL with endorsement.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Drives buses and vans to pick up passengers; collects fares; issues transfers; switches routes to meet passenger needs.
• Inspects vehicles prior to routes; reports issues; inspects vehicle after route completion.
• Assists passengers on/off vehicles; ensures proper seating and safety.
• Prepares daily activity reports and maintains records.
• Reports service interruptions due to weather, emergencies or mechanical issues.
• Counts daily revenue and manages vaults; may perform dispatch duties.
• May provide directions and training to less-experienced drivers.
• Represents City with courteous, cooperative conduct and maintains confidentiality.
