Job summary

Summit School Services is seeking an experienced supervisor to oversee operators and ensure safe, compliant bus operations. You will coach staff, handle escalations, monitor on-time performance, and prepare reports for leadership.

The role requires 5+ years of work experience, with transit industry exposure preferred, and strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. A high school diploma is required, with some college preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
• 5+ years of work experience required, with 3 years in transit industry preferred; college education can be substituted for up to 2 years required work experience.
• Knowledge of company policies and practices to manage operators and promote service leadership.
• Proven supervisory expertise and knowledge of related methods and techniques.
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills; basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervises day-to-day activities of operators to ensure safety and compliance.
• Provides guidance to operators responding to issues such as customer complaints and safety concerns.
• Coaches and mentors to maintain a positive, productive work environment.
• Monitors on-time performance and submits reports in a timely manner.
• Ensures policy compliance and discusses breaches with the General Manager.
• Collects and audits employee DVIs.
• Evaluates performance and administers disciplinary actions as needed.
• Upholds ethical standards and reports concerns to supervisors.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
