Job summary

Summit School Services LLC is seeking a seasoned supervisor to oversee operators in a high-volume transit environment in White Plains, NY. You will ensure safety, policy compliance, and punctual service while guiding staff through coaching, performance reviews, and problem resolution.

The role emphasizes strong communication, multitasking, and a proactive approach to safety and customer care within a diverse workforce.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of work experience required, with 3 years in transit industry preferred.
• Proven supervisory expertise and knowledge of related methods, practices and techniques.
• Computer literacy, preferably in word processing and spreadsheets.
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic math skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Supervises day-to-day activities of operators to ensure safe bus operations and compliance with safety training.
• Provides guidance to operators on issues such as customer complaints and safety, determining actions to prevent recurrence.
• Fosters a positive work environment through coaching, mentoring and training to maintain high morale and service quality.
• Monitors on-time performance and prepares/submits required reports timely.
• Enforces company policies and discusses breaches with management; administers appropriate discipline when needed.
• Exhibits ethical conduct and integrity, reports suspicious or inappropriate behavior.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
