Riverside Transit Agency seeks an Operations Supervisor to manage bus operations from base to street service, overseeing coach operators, scheduling, and safety compliance. The role may be based in Riverside or Hemet; candidates must be available seven days a week, including holidays.

Responsibilities include coordinating with contractors, directing dispatch activities, and ensuring adherence to DOT rules. Applicants must meet DMV requirements and possess relevant endorsements.

Qualifications

• Education/Experience requirements as listed: Associate's Degree plus 3 years supervisory/management in public transit OR High School Diploma with transit experience; 40 hours line instruction or trainer experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Manages coach operator fitness-for-duty and scheduling to meet performance goals.
• Disseminates duties and assigns runs and vehicle allocations for on-time service.
• Coordinates with fixed-route providers to minimize disruptions and ensure safe, reliable service.
• Coaches and disciplines operators; maintains records and enforces safety policies.
• Oversees union contract compliance, seniority bidding, and attendance tracking.
• Responds to incidents, maintains dispatch logs, and coordinates detours when needed.
• Assists in training operators and supporting route/schedule development.
