Job summary

Riverside Transit Agency in Hemet, California, is seeking a Full Time Community Bus Operator to operate the agency’s transit fleet and deliver safe, dependable public transportation for the residents within the RTA service area.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have a Class C driver's license with DMV record printout.
• Ability to obtain Class B license with endorsements and medical certificate.
• Excellent driving record and stable work history.
• Availability to work 7 days per week, including holidays.

Responsibilities

• Operate agency transit buses in revenue and non-revenue service.
• Maintain an established schedule along a designated route.
• Be available to operate buses on pre-assigned shifts.
• Be responsible for the safety of passengers.
• Collect proper fares according to agency tariffs.
• Provide transit information to passengers.
• Collect patronage and revenue data and prepare reports.
• Report equipment defects or failures and other related tasks.
