The City of Gainesville is seeking a Managerial/Technical lead for the Regional Transit System (RTS) Operations. This position directly supervises Transit/Paratransit Operators and coordinates all transit operations within established rules and union contracts, exercising independent judgment in field emergencies.

Incumbents work within the scope of established departmental rules, regulations, procedures and Union contract, but exercise independent judgment in handling emergency problems arising in the field.
Positions allocated to this classification report to a designated supervisor and work under general supervision. Work in this class is distinguished from higher classes by the limited scope of its management responsibility and from lower classes by its supervisory and training responsibilities.
