Job summary

Transdev is seeking a General Manager in Canby, Oregon to lead daily operations and strategy for a fixed-route bus operation. You will oversee staff, safety, client relations, and financial performance, while ensuring compliance and a strong culture of continuous improvement.

Ideal candidates have at least 5 years of operational leadership in transit, with experience building relationships with unions and customers, and strong proficiency in budgeting and reporting using MS Office tools.

Qualifications

• Desirable four-year college degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience in business administration, logistics or transportation preferred.
• At least 5 years managing a fixed-route or paratransit operation of similar size.
• Knowledge of applicable federal and state employment laws.
• Strong written and oral communication skills; ability to influence at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with employees, client, union partners and local community.
• Set commercial and operational direction for the business unit.
• Lead the management team to achieve safety, service and financial goals.
• Identify and develop business growth opportunities.
• Monitor KPIs and ensure budgets are met and actions are taken for efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and reporting requirements.
