Job summary

Riverside Transit Agency seeks an Operations Supervisor in the Operations Department to oversee the transit system from base operations to on-street service. This role may be assigned to Riverside or Hemet locations, and requires availability to work 7 days per week, including holidays and all shifts.

Essential duties include supervising coach operators, managing runs, dispatch, and performance, coordinating with contracted services, and enforcing DOT and safety rules.

Qualifications

• Requires Associate's Degree with 3+ years in supervisory/management within transit or related field.
• High School Diploma acceptable with 2+ years experience in a public transit agency.
• Candidates should have current CDL/Driver qualifications as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee coach operators, ensuring safety, schedule adherence, and labor utilization.
• Coordinate bid processing by seniority and ensure DOT hours of service compliance.
• Respond to incidents, coordinate detours, and manage dispatch communications.
• Ensure compliance with union contracts, company policies, and safety regulations.
• Assist in route and schedule development and operator training.
