Job summary

Utah Transit Authority seeks candidates for a Maintenance Apprenticeship program, offering competency-based training across electrical, brakes, air systems, HVAC and related areas with hands-on tasks supervised by skilled staff. Upon completion, apprentices advance to Journeyist with increased pay.

Minimum qualifications include 18+, a Class B CDL with passenger endorsement within 60 days, and the ability to pass aptitude and standardized tests (tests paid by UTA).

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Have a Class B CDL with passenger endorsement within 60 days.
• Must pass aptitude and standardized tests; UTA will pay the test fee.
• Must have the required tools.
• Be a safe driver with no more than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years.
• Have no DUI within the last 10 years.
• ONE of the following: 2-year degree in a related field; military MOS in a related field; 1 year of related technical school AND 1 year of related experience; 6 months UTA experience.
• UTA reserves the right to determine equivalencies of education and experience.
