Job summary

Davidson Transit Organization (DTO), the employment unit of WeGo Public Transit, seeks an HR and Labor Relations Manager to oversee policy implementation, coordinate HR programs, and supervise HR staff. The role emphasizes labor law compliance, attendance tracking, and investigations under direction from the DTO Director of HR and Labor Relations.

The position requires leading HR strategies while working with a unionized workforce, ensuring regulatory compliance, and managing employee relations

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Administration or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum of four years leading HR functions in a unionized environment; transit experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate HR policies and programs, including labor law responsibilities, attendance tracking, and investigations.
• Supervise the HR Generalist and other HR areas as assigned.
• Serve as custodian of employee relations records and update as needed.
• Develop and adopt rules and regulations for the corporation; coordinate recruitment, performance evaluations, and benefits knowledge.
