Job summary

The North Carolina Department of Transportation is seeking a NS-Planning, Economic Development (S) professional to support the Grants Administration staff. You will review grant applications, approve ROAP reports, and assist the Grants Administration Manager in coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.

The role may temporarily serve as a Regional Grant Specialist during vacancies or peak periods, requiring strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and two years of experience in the collection and analysis of economic and social data and information, or in the administration of public transportation programs or services.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may qualify.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve grant applications and monthly ROAP reports.
• Assist Grants Administration staff and serve as Regional Grant Specialist during vacancies or heavy workload.
• Coordinate with internal and external customers including sub-recipients, finance officers, and government officials.
