Job summary

HDR is seeking a Senior Transit Planning Project Manager to join our North Carolina team. This role supports multidisciplinary transit projects, leading planning, design, and coordination across offices in Raleigh, Charlotte, and other NC locations.

You will manage complex projects, mentor staff, and collaborate with market sector leaders to ensure timely, on-budget delivery and high-quality outcomes for communities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent education/experience.
• 10 years related experience.
• Min 5 years of project management experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and scheduling/estimating tools.
• Ability to interact with design teams and strong communication skills.
• Active participant in employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and coordinate multidisciplinary projects with high technical complexity.
• Produce and coordinate several projects concurrently.
• Maintain client relations and participate in marketing and project meetings.
• Serve as Project Manager on transportation and transit projects.
• Support proposal development and marketing activities as needed.
• Conduct work sessions for deliverable development with staff and stakeholders.
• Perform QA/QC reviews and manage project budgets and schedules.
• Coordinate staffing and workload across the project lifecycle.
