Job summary

Qualifications

• HD: Graduation from high school or GED with two years' experience in repair of motor coaches or automotive equipment.
• Minimum one year experience as automotive/diesel maintenance technician with formal training in auto/diesel repair.
• Must be able to obtain Michigan CDL Class B with passenger endorsement within six months.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repair of light and heavy transit equipment under supervision.
• Assist in rebuilding vehicles and accessories including fare meters, interiors, electronics and hydraulics.
• Plan and organize daily maintenance activities with team members and supervision.
• Enter and analyze maintenance data in the maintenance information system.
• Read shop manuals and electrical schematics to diagnose and repair defects.
