Job summary

The City of Ann Arbor is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to perform minor repair and routine maintenance of the interior and exterior of city facilities, systems, and equipment. This generalist role covers plumbing, electrical, welding, HVAC, painting, carpentry, grounds, and vehicle upkeep, and is not at a licensed tradesperson level.

A High School Diploma and at least two years of building maintenance experience are required, along with a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Minor repair and maintenance of interior and exterior of City facilities, component systems and equipment.
• Work requires a range of competencies in plumbing, electrical, welding, HVAC, painting, carpentry, grounds maintenance, equipment and routine vehicle maintenance.
