Job summary

Via in Michigan is seeking a hands-on Utility Technician to keep our vehicle fleet safe, efficient, and ready for service. This on-site role centers on maintenance, inspections, and daily fleet support, working closely with Fleet Managers to prioritize repairs and readiness.

You will coordinate repairs, perform tire swaps and light repairs, clean and inspect vehicles, and assist with in-fleeting and de-fleeting operations.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to pass pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check (MVR clean).
• Practical knowledge of basic vehicle mechanics and diagnostics preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate repairs and preventative maintenance; shuttle vehicles to/from vendors; inspect vehicles for cleanliness, readiness and visual appearance; track out-of-service vehicles.
• Perform smaller maintenance tasks (e.g., tire swaps, light repairs).
• Perform vehicle cleaning and maintenance tasks.
• Assist with in-fleeting and de-fleeting of vehicles, collaborating with Fleet Managers.
