Job summary

The MBTA is seeking a Supervisor of Maintenance to plan and supervise the maintenance, repair, and servicing of all assigned revenue vehicles and equipment to ensure maximum productivity and safety standards.

You will lead shop teams, manage schedules, payroll, budgets, and compliance, and work across locations to keep the fleet reliable and cost-efficient. A bachelor's degree and 5+ years in maintenance with 1+ year supervisory experience required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Five years of experience in transportation equipment repair and maintenance.
• One year of supervisory or lead experience.
• Valid driver’s license and Class B CLP with endorsements required.
• Strong organizational, analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and supervise maintenance, repair, and servicing of revenue vehicles and equipment.
• Schedule maintenance for buses and MBTA vehicles under control.
• Supervise inventory and materials handling at the facility.
• Monitor payroll recording, scheduling, and labor budgets.
• Conduct audits and ensure safety, productivity, and cost efficiency.
