Job summary

Transdev in Fairfax County is hiring a Field Supervisor in Herndon. The role oversees day-to-day field operations with a focus on safety and customer service. Starting pay is $27.45/hr, with benefits including vacation, sick leave, medical/dental/vision, and retirement options.

The Field Supervisor will manage operator scheduling, lead a team through training and coaching, perform safety checks, interpret transit rules, and handle ongoing operational issues. DOT compliance is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Preferred minimum of 2 years of leadership experience.
• Ability to secure a Class B CDL with a P endorsement.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Subject to DOT drug testing and related regulations.

Responsibilities

• Manage Operators scheduling and staffing of routes.
• Provide leadership to build and maintain a strong team through communication, appraisal, training, and coaching.
• Perform Operator safety evaluation ride checks and investigate incidents.
• Read maps and interpret transit operating rules and policies.
• Other duties as required.
