Job summary

Transdev North America in Herndon is seeking a Field Supervisor to oversee day-to-day field operations and lead a safety‑mocused team. The role emphasizes customer service, operational leadership, and ensuring adherence to transit rules and policies.

You will manage scheduling, provide coaching, perform safety checks, and resolve issues on routes, while maintaining strong communication with operators and supervisors. A CDL B with P endorsement may be required, with DOT testing as applicable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Preferred minimum of 2 years of relevant leadership experience.
• Ability to secure a Class B CDL with a P endorsement.
• Excellent interpersonal & communication skills.
• Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.

Responsibilities

• Manage Operators scheduling & staffing of routes.
• Provide leadership to build and maintain a strong team through effective communication, appraisal, training, and coaching.
• Perform Operator safety evaluation ride checks, investigate and respond to situations, resolve operational issues.
• Read maps, interpret transit operating rules and policies.
• Other duties as required.
