Job summary

Transdev in Fairfax County, VA is seeking a Field Supervisor to oversee day-to-day field operations and ensure safety and customer service excellence across routes in the Herndon area.

Responsibilities include scheduling and staffing, leading a team, conducting safety ride checks, and interpreting transit rules. Full-time, with competitive benefits and a union-based pay scale.

Starting pay $27.45 per hour; applies to U.S. eligibility; equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant leadership experience.
• Ability to secure a Class B CDL with a P endorsement.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Subject to DOT drug testing and physical per DOT regulations.

Responsibilities

• Manage operator scheduling and staffing of routes.
• Provide leadership to build and maintain a strong team through communication, appraisal, training, and coaching.
• Perform operator safety evaluation ride checks and respond to incidents.
• Read maps and interpret transit operating rules and policies.
• Other duties as required.
