Job summary

Ramos Consulting Services, now a part of Colliers Engineering & Design, is actively hiring an Inspector to perform field inspection work on a transit capital program covering rail and bus construction scopes. The Inspector will monitor contractor work, witness testing, and document quantities while supporting senior engineers.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of construction inspection experience on transit/rail/public works projects, plus WAQTC/ACI and OSHA certifications.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of construction inspection experience on transit/rail/public works.
• WAQTC/ACI or equivalent certifications preferred.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily field inspections to verify compliance with plans, specs, and submittals.
• Witness field testing and document materials installed vs. submittals.
• Prepare Inspector Daily Reports with weather, crew, equipment, quantities.
• Identify non-conforming work and track resolutions via RFIs and change orders.
• Coordinate with contractor superintendents and QA personnel on schedules.
• Ensure safety compliance around active transit operations and rail right-of-way.
• Maintain project records and ensure conformance with contract documents.
