Job summary

Mass Electric Construction Co., a subsidiary of Kiewit, is seeking field/office engineer interns for a dynamic, nationwide transportation-focused program. You’ll gain hands-on experience across office and field tasks while supporting estimating, documentation, and project coordination.

Based in Irving, TX, the internship offers exposure to major projects with travel to multiple US sites. You’ll join a team committed to safety, quality, and career growth in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related degree.
• Strong work ethic — willing to work more than 40 hours/week.
• Ability to travel and relocate as business requires.
• Experience with leadership in some capacity.
• Infrastructure/Heavy Civil project experience is preferred.
• Must have a valid Driver’s License.
• Ability to work in the United States without sponsorship, both now and in the future.

Responsibilities

• Assist with shop drawings, submittals, schedules, takeoffs, and pay requests.
• Assist with contract changes and project documentation.
• Work under a Field Engineer or Project Engineer and collaborate with field crews.
