Job summary

Mass Electric Construction Co. is seeking field/office engineer interns through its MEC Transportation District with projects nationwide. Based in Irving, TX, the company offers exposure to transportation infrastructure and hands-on field and office experience in a fast-paced setting.

You will assist in constructing and coordinating electrical systems, learn project controls, and support teams across field operations, with opportunities for growth and travel across North America.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related degree.
• Willing to work more than 40 hours/week.
• Willing to travel and relocate as needed.
• Experience with leadership in some capacity.
• Infrastructure/Heavy Civil project experience preferred.
• Able to access construction sites in varied environments.
• Motivated with strong ethics and initiative.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Review shop drawings, submittals, and schedules.
• Perform take-offs and pay requests.
• Process contract changes and maintain project documentation.
