Job summary

Mass Electric Transportation is hiring entry-level field and office engineers to support transit and rail projects across the United States, including relocation to major metro areas. Roles span field operations and office engineering with opportunities to travel and advance within the MEC group.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil, electrical, mechanical, industrial engineering, or related field.
• 0–3 years of construction experience, preferrably infrastructure/heavy civil.
• Willingness to relocate and travel across the US.
• Must have a valid Driver's License and ability to work >40 hours/week including nights/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Interpret drawings and specs for field crews; prepare work plans and packages; coordinate logistics.
• Perform takeoffs from drawings; assist in pricing change orders; provide field support and submittals.
• Support project controls, interface engineering, procurement, and scheduling.
• Assist in expediting material deliveries, estimating and processing changes; prepare monthly billings and progress estimates.
• Participate in project meetings and lead small projects or field operations as needed.
