Job summary

Mass. Electric Construction Co. is hiring early career field/office engineers to support transit, rail, and data-center projects across North America.

You should be willing to relocate to major metropolitan areas and travel as projects demand, with opportunities to grow within MEC Transportation District and MEC’s North American operations. The role blends field and office work, requiring a bachelor’s degree in construction management or engineering and 0–3 years of construction experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil, electrical, mechanical, or industrial engineering.
• 0-3 years of construction experience including Infrastructure/Heavy Civil projects preferred
• Willing to travel and relocate
• Must have a valid Driver's License
• Ability to work in the United States without sponsorship

Responsibilities

• Field Operations: interpret drawings and specifications, plan work, schedule materials and logistics.
• Office Engineering: perform takeoffs, assist in pricing change orders, provide field support.
• Support construction activities by planning project controls, subcontractor management, and scheduling.
• Assist project management with expediting materials, estimating, and change orders.
• Lead project meetings and may serve as discipline engineer on small projects.
