Job summary

L.B. Foster Transit Products Division seeks an Engineering Manager to lead product design, manufacturing, supply chain, QA and product support for transit rail solutions in the Atlanta area.

You will develop technologies, drive design decisions, review technical proposals, manage the engineering team, and lead ISO quality initiatives while collaborating with sales and customers at trade shows. This on-site role requires a mechanical/civil/electrical background, 6+ years in the field, 2+ years of

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 6 years of relevant experience.
• 2+ years of managerial experience preferred.
• 5+ years of relevant rail industry experience preferred.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 for engineering design and development.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks CAD software and SolidWorks PDM.
• Knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes used in rail products.
• Strong understanding of solid mechanics and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Design products and systems to meet rail industry requirements and product roadmaps.
• Develop new technologies and incorporate them into differentiated products.
• Lead internal review meetings to justify design choices.
• Develop test plans for product validation.
• Create 2D/3D CAD models for product realization.
• Provide technical support to internal and external customers.
• Assist estimating and project teams with drawings and submittals; coordinate with manufacturing.
• Represent division in ISO quality audits and industry trade shows.
