Job summary

Pasco County is seeking a professional bus driver to provide safe, reliable transit service on fixed routes within the county. You will operate a heavy-duty bus, follow schedules, collect fares and assist riders, including those with mobility challenges.

This role requires a high school diploma and a Florida CDL with Passenger Endorsement, plus ability to pass screenings. You will conduct safety checks, use radios and PA systems, and interact with the public in a courteous manner.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Must possess a valid Florida CDL Class A or B with Passenger Endorsement.
• Pass background checks, drug screening, and medical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, reliable transit service on assigned routes.
• Collect fares, enforce rider policies, and assist passengers including wheelchair users.
• Perform pre- and post-shift vehicle safety inspections and report malfunctions.
