Job summary

Gordon Food Service in Shrewsbury, MA seeks a CDL A Transit Driver with a doubles endorsement. You will transport loaded and empty trailers, including doubles, from distribution centers and on point-to-point routes. Night shifts mean you’ll be home every day, and there is no touch freight.

Starting pay ranges from $90K to over $110K per year, with per-day and per-trip components. Benefits start on day one, weekly pay, wellness reimbursement, and a profit-sharing 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

• At least 21 years of age.
• Class A CDL License at hire.
• Minimum of 2 years driving experience with Class A Doubles endorsement.
• Must be able to push and pull up to 50 lbs to connect trailers.
• Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.
• Must pass a drug test and background check.
• DOT Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse enrollment required.

Responsibilities

• Transport loaded and empty trailers, singles or doubles, from distribution centers or point-to-point.
• Night transits with home every day; schedule Sunday–Thursday with start 6:30p–7:30p.
• No touch freight.
• Maintain safety and DOT compliance in all operations.
• Read labels, pick lists, scanners, signage, and company information; complete paperwork and follow instructions.

CDL A Transit Driver - Doubles Endorsement Required

Location: 188 Memorial Dr, Shrewsbury MA

In this position, you will be transporting loaded and empty trailers, singles or doubles, from GFS Distribution Centers or from point-to-point via night transit. Schedule: Sunday - Thursday Start time between 6:30p-7:30pm & work until finished

Pay: Our drivers annual pay ranges from $90K to over $110K! Component Pay: Pay per day and per trip

Does this look like you?

• At least 21 years of age
• Class A CDL License at hire
• Minimum of 2 years driving experience with your class A Doubles (T) endorsement required
• Must be able to push and pull up to 50lbs (connecting trailers)
• Must be able to read, write and communicate in English (to read labels, pick lists, scanners, signage, company website information related to benefits, updates, complete paperwork and follow verbal instructions)
• Successfully pass a drug test that will assess drug usage (including marijuana) and a background check
• Clean driving record; as required by DOT and Gordon Food Service standards
• You must be registered through the Department of Transportation Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse and provide electronic consent in order to be considered for employment with us effective January 6th, 2020.
