Job summary

Gordon Food Service is seeking CDL A Transit Drivers for night routes from our Wilmington area distribution centers. You will transport loaded and empty trailers, including doubles, with home time every day and no touch freight.

Newly licensed drivers are encouraged to apply for this rewarding role. Enjoy competitive annual pay ranging from $90K to over $110K, with weekly pay and comprehensive benefits beginning on day one.

Qualifications

• Class A CDL license required at hire.
• Doubles (T) endorsement required.
• Minimum 2 years of Class A driving experience.
• Clean driving record and DOT standards compliance.
• Background check and drug test required.
• Read/write/communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Transport loaded and empty trailers from Gordon Food Service distribution centers.
• Night transit with home time every day; start times between 6:30pm–7:30pm.
• Adhere to safety, DOT, and company policies at all times.
• Maintain logs and complete required paperwork and scans.

CDL ATransitDriver - Doubles Endorsement Required

Location : 40 Fordham Rd, Wilmington MA

In this position, you will betransporting loaded and empty trailers, singles or doubles, from GFS Distribution Centers or from point-to-point via night transit.Nightshifts mean you’ll be home every day, and there’s not touch freight required. Schedule :Sunday - Thursday Start time between 6:30p-7:30pm & work until finished

Pay :Our drivers annual pay ranges from $90K to over $110K!

Component Pay: Pay per day and per trip

Does this look like you?

• At least 21 years of age
• Class A CDL License at hire
• Minimum of 2 years driving experience with your class A
• Doubles (T) endorsement required
• Must be able to push and pull up to 50lbs (connecting trailers)
• Must be able to read, write and communicate in English (to read labels, pick lists, scanners, signage, company website information related to benefits, updates, complete paperwork and follow verbal instructions)
• Successfully pass a drug test that will assess drug usage (including marijuana) and a background check
• Clean driving record; as required by DOT and Gordon Food Service standards
• You must be registered through the Department of Transportation Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse and provide electronic consent in order to be considered for employment with us effective January 6th, 2020.
