Job summary

Gordon Food Service is seeking a CDL A Transit Driver in St. Louis, MO. This role requires a Doubles (T) endorsement and a Class A CDL, with at least 1 year of driving experience.

Night shifts offer home time each day and no touch freight; you will transport trailers between distribution centers or point-to-point. Expect competitive pay and benefits, with a 3rd shift schedule (Sunday to Thursday). You must read, write, and communicate in English and pass standard DOT/background checks.

CDL A Transit Driver - Doubles Endorsement Required

Location: 5391 Brown Ave. St. Louis, MO

No Auto Restriction; must be able to operate a 10 speed transmission.

In this position, you will be transporting loaded and empty trailers, singles or doubles, from GFS Distribution Centers or from point-to-point via night transit. Night shifts mean you’ll be home every day, and there's not touch freight required. Feel safe and secure at a company that values and respects you.

Schedule: 3rd shift - 4-5 days, Sunday through Thursday night

Pay: Drivers average $85,000 - $95,000

• Daily base pay, plus component pay
• Paid for every mile driven, stop made, and case delivered

Does this look like you?

• At least 21 years of age
• Class A CDL License at hire
• Minimum of 1 year driving experience with your class A
• Doubles (T) endorsement required
• Must be able to push and pull up to 50lbs (connecting trailers)
• Must be able to read, write and communicate in English (to read labels, pick lists, scanners, signage, company website information related to benefits, updates, complete paperwork and follow verbal instructions)
• Successfully pass a drug test that will assess drug usage (including marijuana) and a background check
• Clean driving record; as required by DOT and Gordon Food Service standards
• You must be registered through the Department of Transportation Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse and provide electronic consent in order to be considered for employment with us effective January 6th, 2020.
