Job summary

Cadient, LLC seeks a Transportation Dispatcher to provide clerical, record-keeping and radio dispatch support for Greene County Transit and The Arc Mid-Hudson’s Transportation Department in Greene County. You will handle primary radio communications with Transportation Department drivers and answer phones while building relationships with community residents, other agencies and resources.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
One year of supervisory experience in a transportation environment.
Basic computer knowledge and ability to update or develop systems.

Responsibilities

Assist scheduling of staff and assignment of vehicles to meet daily transportation needs.
Dispatch daily transportation assignments to ensure safe and timely performance.
Assist with scheduling and presenting agency vehicles for repair and maintenance, including clerical work.
Maintain vehicle records, attendance and history for management reports.
Prepare STOA reporting from DVIRs.
Assist in disciplinary actions when required.
Submit pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing per FTA requirements.
Ensure compliance with agency policies and applicable regulations.
Perform clerical duties including data entry, filing, mail, and multi-line phone duties.
