The position involves processing transportation requests, maintaining logs, and providing information to the public.

Qualifications

• Receive transportation requests from the public and agency representatives via email, telephone or fax.
• Operate a two-way radio for monitoring and communicating with transporters.
• Verify reports to ensure passenger trip requests are scheduled and assigned to vehicles.
• Provide general information to the public and interpret policies; handle inquiries or complaints.
• Type routine letters, memoranda, forms and reports from provided information.
• Occasionally fill in as back-up transporter.

Responsibilities

• Receive transportation requests via multiple channels and document them accurately.
• Schedule trips by assigning to vehicles/transporters and verifying coverage.
• Provide clear information and resolve inquiries or complaints per department guidelines.
• Prepare routine documents and reports based on public input.
• Support transporter operations as needed.
