Job summary

Ramos Consulting Services, now a part of Colliers Engineering & Design, is seeking an Assistant Resident Engineer to perform a wide variety of professional engineering tasks on a transit capital program, in field or office settings.

You will support the Resident Engineer with contract administration, field inspections, documentation, change orders, and coordination with authorities to ensure safety, schedule, and budget compliance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Construction Management of transit, rail, or transportation projects.
• Ability to read, write and understand English for job communications and instructions.

Responsibilities

• Supports safety oversight by observing operations and advising on corrective actions.
• Reviews contractor operations for compliance with safety regulations and contract requirements.
• Maintains complete project records, reports, and documentation of progress, costs, and schedule.
• Prepares contract change orders and assists in contract administration and payments.
• Coordinates with transit operations, maintenance, signals, track and systems disciplines to minimize disruption.
