Job summary

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED and 1 year in communications systems maintenance, network diagnostics, SCADA ops or equivalent.
  • Additional education cannot substitute for experience.
  • DOT physical, pre-employment drug test and background investigation are required.
  • Must obtain Class B CDL permit within 90 days and Class B CDL with air brake endorsement within 6 months.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, repair and support network, communication and fare systems including SCADA, CCTV, PA, fiber optics and network nodes.
  • Maintain communication infrastructure and fare collection equipment.
  • Identify, gather and test parts; work safely with electricity; operate specialized tools.
  • Perform general cleaning, maintenance and inventory management of tools, parts and equipment.
  • Respond to emergencies and maintain inspection, repair and inventory records.
  • Support cross-functional projects, system upgrades and technology implementations.
