Job summary

Keolis Commuter Services in Tempe, AZ is seeking an Assistant Manager Safety, Transportation Business Partner to lead safety initiatives for Valley Metro operations. You will drive the SMS program, partner with diverse teams, and ensure regulatory compliance across the organization.

The role requires a TSI/ TSSP certification (or ability to obtain within 2 years), 3+ years in transit safety, and strong communication skills to promote a proactive safety culture.

Qualifications

• TSI TSSP certification required (or ability to obtain within 2 years).
• Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in transit operations or transportation safety.
• Strong knowledge of DOT, ADOT, and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Experience developing and implementing Safety Management System (SMS) programs, safety plans, policies, procedures, and corrective actions.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a diverse workforce.

Responsibilities

• Support the site implementation of the Safety Management System Plan, comprehensive safety policies, procedures, and tools to enhance compliance with corporate direction in efforts to reduce accidents/injuries in the workplace.
• Monitor compliance with the SMS policies and procedures, conducting ongoing safety auditing.
• Ensure all relevant statutory and regulatory safety policies are applied and adhered to.
• Lead monthly safety meetings and safety improvement campaigns across field operations.
