Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Civil Engineering Transit Intern to join our Transit Engineering Group in Chicago, Illinois. You will contribute to the Forest Park Branch Rebuild project and assist in final design under supervision, gaining hands-on experience in transit design.

Candidates must be pursuing a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering with at least two years completed; opportunities to advance toward Engineer-in-Training are available. The role offers a hybrid work model in Chicago.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with at least two years of study completed.
• Interest in pursuing Engineer-in-Training after graduation is encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Assist with rail project design, including track design and corridor modeling under supervision.
• Create designs, sketches, diagrams, and working drawings in Bentley OpenRail Designer.
• Support with project reports and documentation for federal grants.
