Job summary

The Arc of Lagrange County is seeking a part-time Transit Bus Driver to operate a daily route for nine workers. The role requires a valid driver’s license with For Hire endorsement or Chauffeur license and passing a background check and drug screen.

Shifts run Monday through Friday: 6:45–8:45 am and 3:00–5:00 pm, with paid training and a supportive, flexible work environment. In-person work location and community-focused role.

Qualifications

• Must have valid driver’s license and For Hire endorsement or Chauffeur license.
• Background check and drug screen (marijuana included) required.
• Experience as a van driver or transporting workers is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate a daily route on a small transit bus, transporting workers to and from work.
• Route: Monday to Friday, pick up 6:45 am–8:45 am and drop off 3:00 pm–5:00 pm.

Job description:

Transit Bus Driver (daily route)

This position is part time

Route: (small transit bus) transport workers (currently 9) to/from work/home.

All training is paid.

Must have a valid driver's license and a For Hire endorsement (Indiana), or Chauffeur License (Michigan). If you do not have a For Hire or Chauffeur license, you may obtain one at your local DMV office. There is a test you must pass to add this endorsement to your license. We will be happy to assist you with this.

Route: Monday-Friday pick up 6:45 am - 8:45 am, & drop off 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm. (estimated times)
